This was another one of those mornings this spring that willing to be up for 4AM & get to a spot for 5AM, to wait for the possibility of a colourful sunrise was key. I got lucky with this one as I got the colours I wanted on the first try, & didn't have to keep getting up early. The concept I started with was wanting to represent the red river literally, by trying to "turn the water red" by getting a red/orange sunrise/sunset reflected in the water. Prep was simple, I found interesting bends in the river on google earth. I figured out where the sun would be in relation to the bends, so I knew which would be ideal where I could be shooting directly at the sun, and the apex of the bend was centred (as close as possible) & that's what brought me to this spot. Really the only technical thing was exposing for the sky, I knew the water would reflect the sky and stay properly exposed, retain the colour, & I could just bring out some of the shadows in the "land" part of the photo in post.

The ? I mentioned before is, this has been dope explaining, helping people in DM's with questions, & interacting with y'all. This is something I've never done before, I'm not a super outgoing person, I usually shoot, learn things alone, & try to figure things out myself. This is all new to me, but, I was thinking it would be cool to get to know people who are always commenting, messaging & asking questions or just showing a bunch of love. The idea would be 1-2mth, get a little Twitch stream going where I'll edit, have a beer, listen to music, explain the photos, process, whatever else. It would be a live thing, so, we could chill real time, you can teach me shit, & I can answer questions if you have em' in the chat, ect. you can send me your RAW files, I'll show you how I'd edit them, whatever, tons of ideas that could happen, just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in something like that. Then maybe start some photo walks, yada yada, anyway, I'll probably start doing em' in the next 2-3wks, when I have a day/time, I'll put it out there. Hope y'all had a good weekend 🍻✌️Skol.
