The Real Me - Josh Lavallee:
First things first. I will not be speaking in the third person in this about me section. I have never understood why people do that... why do they do that?! And I will also save you the whole, "I've loved photography for as long as I can remember" or "Photography was always in my family" story that we have all read everywhere else and aren't quite sure if it's true or not, or if they are just using the same template as every other photographers page. I will however tell you in first person some things that are true about myself... as myself... not pretending to be someone else.
My name is Josh Lavallee. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and I am proud to say this is still my home. That wasn't always the case however... photography changed the way that I perceived my hometown, and I have grown to love it. I purchased my first camera about six years ago when I wanted to learn how to shoot good skateboard photography. Ever since, my passion, drive and enthusiasm for learning this craft has never stopped.
This has only ever been a hobby since day one, and only a dream to one day say that photography is my career. A dream that I will continue to try to chase. The fact that you are even here reading this, and that you've found, looked, or even appreciated anything I've ever done photographically is mind blowing to me. Thank you for that.
